We have been certified by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) since 2003. PYP is a student-centered approach to education for children aged 3-12. It encourages each child to develop their full potential through inquiry.
Our students learn English as a second language, and French is introduced in fourth grade as an additional language, as a way of understanding other cultures and developing international mindedness. Through a variety of learning experiences, organised in units of inquiry, we seek the development of communication skills, thinking skills, self-management skills, research skills, and social skills. All of these, together with the development of attitudes, will promote student progress in relation to the Hiram Bingham Learner Profile, based on the IB Learner Profile.
